How Much Does a Nevada Surety Bond Cost?

A Nevada surety bond costs between $600 and $50,000. The specific bond amount required depends on the trade. For example, a collection agency bond may be required up to $60,000. A Nevada contractor bond up to $500,000 is required.

However, you can purchase a surety bond at a premium rate rather than pay the full bond amount. Through an authorized Nevada surety company, the bond cost may be between 1% to 10% of the required bond amount. Rates are based on the applicant’s credit, assets and professional experience.

Well-qualified surety bond applicants with a credit score of 700 or better qualify for a premium rate of 1% to 3%. With a 600 to 699 credit score, the premium rate is 3% to 5%. With a credit score of 599 or lower, the bond premium rate is between 5% and 10%.
