Toyota Prius Sets a New Record

Toyota Prius just set a new lap record around the Nordschleife, without even taking the lap time in account.

It is obvious that the Toyota Prius is no match for the expensive racecars and supercars which are heading the leaderboards of the Nürburgring. The record that the most popular hybrid set was for miles per gallon. The car which raced was a Prius Plug-In with a topped up battery and a set of low-rolling-resistance tires. In 21 minutes, the hybrid finished the lap, using just five tablespoons of fuel.
