How Much Does a Pennsylvania Auto Dealer Bond Cost?
A Pennsylvania auto dealer bond costs between $200 and $2,000. This cost is based on the state’s requirement for a $20,000 surety bond for dealers.
Instead of paying the full $20,000, you can obtain your auto dealer bond through a Pennsylvania surety company. By doing so, you will be responsible for a 1% to 10% premium rate for your bond rather than the full sum of the bond.
Your personal credit scores are reviewed to determine your specific premium rate. Other factors taken into consideration are your liquid and fixed assets and your professional credentials. We bond over 99% of our applicants and consider most credit scores.
If your credit score is 700 or better at the time of your application, you will receive a rate of 1% to 3% of the required auto dealer bond amount. If your credit score falls between 600 and 699, your bond premium rate will be 3% to 5%. A lower credit score qualifies for a rate of 5% to 10%.
