How Much Does a Nebraska Contractor License Bond Cost?

The cost of a Nebraska contractor license bond ranges from $100 to $2,500. There is a statewide bond requirement of $5,000 for farm contractors. Additional contractor bond requirements are established by local governments and range from $1,000 to $25,000.

To meet your location’s bond requirement, however, you do not need to pay the full amount of the bond. Instead, buy your bond through a Nebraska surety company. By doing so, you can pay a premium of 1% to 10% of the bond amount rather than the full bond amount.

The rate that you qualify for is based on your business experience as well as your assets and credit scores. We provide bonds for most credit scores.

If your credit score is 700 or higher, your bond rate will fall between 1% and 3%. If your score is between 600 to 699, your premium will be between 3% to 5%. For lower credit scores, the rate is 5% to 10%.
