How Much Does an Arizona Vehicle Dealer Bond Cost?
The cost of an Arizona vehicle dealer bond, also known as an “auto dealer bond” ranges from $200 to $10,000 depending on your business. There are three tiers of surety bonds for auto dealers based on the dealer’s business activities. The required bond amounts range from $20,000 to $100,000.
However, you do not pay the full bond amount. You can purchase an auto dealer bond from a surety company and will be responsible for the premium on that bond. The premium rate ranges from 1% to 10% of the bond amount.
Several factors affect the applicant’s premium rate. These are credit scores, assets and business experience. The most competitive premium rate is available for applicants with a credit score higher than 700.
The premium rate for applicants with a 700 credit score or higher ranges from 1% to 3%. The premium rate for applicants with a credit score between 600 to 699 is 3% to 5%. A 5% to 10% premium rate applies to applicants with a credit score below 599.
