William Lyon Homes Buys Polygon Northwest for $520 million

Bellevue-based Polygon Northwest is being sold for $520 million in cash by William Lyon Homes. They claim they will keep the brand name and current employees intact. After the sale is finalized William Lyon Homes will be the owner of over 18, 000 lots in the West, most of them in Seattle and the nearby areas.
Polygon, over the years, has built almost 16, 000 homes in Seattle and Portland, Oregon. It is estimated to build between 850-900 new homes this year.
